New Dare Skywalk attraction for adrenaline junkies
If you fancy yourself as a bit of an adrenaline-junkie, then you’ll love this.
A 1,000ft high-wire adventure skywalk is being built as an attraction in the tallest tower of the upcoming AYKON City development, which will sit along the Dubai Canal.
Accessed from the 78th floor lounge and dining room, those trying the Dare Skywalk will be strapped into harnesses and taken onto a landing platform before actually walking up the outside of the building and up onto the rooftop.
Once at the top, visitors will step into a glass-floored viewing deck, almost 1,000ft above Sheikh Zayed Road for some breathtaking views of the city.
Modeled on the EdgeWalk experience at the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada and the SkyWalk in Auckland, New Zealand, the harnessed-up climbers will be subject to some pretty jaw-dropping experiences.

SkyWalk in Auckland have taken it one step further though, offering thrill-seekers the option to actually bungee jump off the same Sky Tower.
Perhaps they’ll add that option to Dubai’s Dare Skywalk too. Even Beyonce gave it a shot on a visit to New Zealand.
If you don’t yet know about AYKON City, the development features a total of six towers. There’s the 80-storey AYKON Hotel and Residences, the 63-story Damac Maison Serviced Hotel Residences, a 65-storey office tower, 60-storey apartment block as well as two 30-floor ultra-luxury residential towers.
With regards to its location, AYKON City will sit next to the canal, on the opposite side of the road from Safa Park.

The concept pictures of the City and its towers look pretty flash too, check them out in this promotional video:
They’ve even got a 360º video showing off the area. Although it’s not from the top of the building that’ll be hosting the Dare SkyWalk unfortunately…
