Indian superstar Akshay Kumar has been in Dubai promoting his new movie, Jolly LLB 2.

As part of the promotional circuit for the film, the Bollywood heart-throb and co-star Huma Qureshi took to a stage outside the Raj Mahal Theatre at Bollywood Parks in Dubai Parks & Resorts.

Kumar spoke about his love for the UAE: “Some of my best films like Hera Pheri were shot here. Dubai is like home and it is great to come back here,” The National reported the star as saying.

“It is only two hours away from Mumbai, and anytime we are getting bored, we just hop on a plane and come here.”

Qureshi was full of praise for her co-star, saying: “I was amazed at how hardworking and disciplined and fun he makes it to work with him.

“I always heard other actresses talk about it, till I actually experienced it myself, how amazing it is working with him.”

As if Kumar’s fans weren’t happy enough just seeing him in the flesh, he delighted them even more by performing the song Socha Na That from his 2016 film Airlift, before pausing to take selfies with the crowd.

WHAT’S THE NEW MOVIE ABOUT?

Jolly LLB2 follows a small-time lawyer by the name of Jolly (Kumar) in the Indian city of Lucknow.

Jolly fights a number of small cases to make ends meet, until his latest case pits him against a ruthless rival named Mathur (Annu Kapoor).

The film will be released in Dubai on February 9.
