Snapped: Celebrities spotted in the UAE this week

With so many A-listers (and B, C and D-listers) visiting the glittering emirate every day, it can be hard to keep track of who was spotted where.

It was the Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend, which celebrities from all over the world came out for. With huge events all over Dubai and Abu Dhabi, there were stars out in full force this week…

Usher

Legendary R&B singer Usher gave two huge performances in the UAE this week, one at White Dubai and one at MAD on Yas Island.

Lewis Hamilton

British F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton, took home the win at this weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Before the race weekend, he was spotted at Italian restaurant Scalini, and even went skydiving.

Lana Del Rey

Saturday’s headline performer at the Yasalam race concerts was Lana Del Rey. She took the stage at Du Arena and delivered a mesmerising performance.

The Killers

American rock band The Killers closed the weekend with a huge performance at the after-race concert on Sunday night.

Marshmello

Thursday’s headliner at the Yaslam concerts 2019 was EDM DJ Marshmello. It looks like he took the time to make a new friend while he was in Abu Dhabi.

Future and Gucci Mane

Stepping in to replace Travis Scott after he pulled out of the Friday night headline slot, Future and Gucci Mane delivered a double-headline performance.

Ne-Yo

R&B singer Ne-Yo performed at MAD on Yas Island on Saturday night, and then joined Usher for his slot on Sunday night. Taking to Instagram, Ne-Yo said: “Got the opportunity to share a stage with one of my idols last night! I could’ve shed real tears I was so happy and honored.”

Akon, Trey Songz and Tyga

Superclub Base had a big weekend of performers including Akon, Trey Songz and Tyga. Black Coffee also took the stage over the long weekend.

Majid Jordan

American music duo Majid Jordan were in Dubai last week to perform at a private party for Gucci. The event took place at the soon-to-open DIFC restaurant Indochine.

Amir Khan

British boxer Amir Khan has been in town enjoying the F1, as well as some relaxation time in Dubai.

Nicky Hilton

American hotel heiress Nicky Hilton has been in Abu Dhabi for the Formula 1. She also checked out the Louvre Abu Dhabi during her stay.

Sigma

DJing duo Sigma were in Abu Dhabi performing on a yacht in Yas Marina.

Claptone

Mysterious masked DJ Claptone was in Abu Dhabi to perform at WET Deck in W Yas Island – Abu Dhabi.

Faithless

Faithless DJ Sister Bliss also took over the WET Deck over the weekend to play all of the group’s biggest hits.

Anne-Marie

British singer Anne-Marie enjoyed a weekend of F1 action in Abu Dhabi, she described it as the ‘one of the best weekends ever’.

Ronaldinho

Ronaldinho has been in Dubai for a couple of weeks, and it looks like he’s not ready to leave yet as he’s just checked into FIVE Palm Jumeirah.

Chris Gayle

Also staying at FIVE Palm Jumeriah is legendary Jamaican cricketer Chris Gayle. He caught up with Ronaldinho and the pair partied in Secret Room.

Dynamo

British magician Dynamo has also been in Abu Dhabi checking out the F1. He stayed at Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island.

Casey Neistat

Huge American YouTuber Casey Neistat was in Abu Dhabi checking out the Formula 1 Grand Prix. He was spotted hanging out with South African TV presenter Maps Maponyane.

Chef Nobu

Japanese celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa has been in Dubai running workshops at his Atlantis, the Palm restaurant, Nobu.

Calum Best and Wayne Linekar

Reality star Calum Best and Ibiza-based entrepreneur Wayne Linekar took a trip to Dubai this week. While they were here the pair enjoyed pool days at Cove Beach and DRIFT Beach Dubai, dinner at STK and Asia Asia, and the Secret Brunch at Formula 1.

Joey Essex

British reality star Joey Essex kicked off his UAE trip in Abu Dhabi for the Grand Prix, before heading to Dubai to check in at FIVE Palm Jumeirah.

Hugo Taylor

Former Made in Chelsea cast member, Hugo Taylor, enjoyed some downtime in Dubai. He stayed at Jumeirah Al Naseem and enjoyed lunch at Shimmers.

Sofia Tilbury

Make-up artist and niece of beauty mogul Charlotte Tilbury, Sofia, was in Dubai to launch Charlotte Tilbury’s new store in Mall of the Emirates.

Michael Griffiths

Former Love Island contestant, Michael Griffiths, is in Dubai at the moment. He’s enjoyed a yacht party, dinner at Burj Khalifa and a pool day at the newly-opened White Beach.

Danielle Lloyd

British model Danielle Lloyd has been busy in the UAE this week. Enjoying everything from brunch at the F1, to dinner at Burj Al Arab and a day out on a yacht.

Dean Gaffney

British actor Dean Gaffney is in Dubai at the moment enjoying some winter sun. So far he’s spent the day at DRIFT Beach Dubai and dinner at At.mosphere.
