UAE President Sheikh Mohamed to address the nation tonight

UAE President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will address the nation tonight, state news agency wam reports.
The speech to the UAE’s citizens and residents will be broadcast on local TV and radio channels at 6pm GST. As per wam, the broadcast will see Sheikh Mohamed outline the UAE’s priorities, as well as announcing the country’s ambitions for the coming decades.
The televised broadcast comes two months after Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was elected President of the UAE, succeeding his brother Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who passed away on Friday May 13. At the time of his election, Sheikh Mohamed was also appointed ruler of Abu Dhabi.
In recent days, Sheikh Mohamed exchanged Eid greetings with the rules of the other six emirates, with pictures of the gathering shared to the UAE President’s official Twitter page.
