Catch a classic Christmas flick under the stars
If you didn’t know, one of Dubai’s popular outdoor cinema – Cinema on the Sand, is back. And on December 18, you will be able to watch everyone’s favourite Christmas movie, Home Alone. The screening begins at 8pm, but best to go early to nab a good spot Doors will open at 7pm. Tickets cost Dhs75 per person and it’s redeemable on food and drinks. Do note, the venue is only open for those 21+.

Have teens? Tell them to plan a day out with mates to Mushrif Park for CanteenX. Running until December 31, CanteenX merges food and entertainment with fun activities such as inflatables, trampolines, and bungee experiences. With Christmas just around the corner, a winter market is a must for your to-do list. One spot you don’t want to miss is the Madinat Jumeirah’s festive market. The market is now open and is packed with plenty of activities for children and food spots to tuck into And yes, there’s also mulled wine. Best of all, it’s free entry for all to enjoy.

Atlantis The Royal and Valentino have joined forces to bring to Dubai this festive season, the Valentino Cafe. The world-renowned couture label has transformed the resort into the ultimate luxury wonderland and pays homage to the Pink PP Collection. You need to be quick to visit though as the pop-up will be open to the public until Wednesday, January 10, 2024. It will be open daily, from 2pm to 6pm for the whole of the remaining holiday season.

Tuck into a festive afternoon tea at Aspen
Calling all tea lovers! Indulge in an elegant and festive afternoon tea where you can dive into savoury and sweet treats including minicakes, scones and more. The festive afternoon tea runs from 3pm to 6pm daily until January 7. You can pair your bites with seasonal teas from London Tea Exchange. Head for the hills and check out Hatta Festival
Hatta Festival is a new cultural festival running until December 31 and is a celebration of culture, sports and entertainment. It will take place at Dubai’s picturesque mountain region at the newly-developed Leem Lake in Hatta and the popular Hatta Wadi Hub. Expect traditional musical performances, light displays, food and beverage pop-ups, sports and live entertainment. You can read more about the festival here.
