Uber will soon let you book flashy Dubai Taxi limos via its app
This will mean more available cars and shorter wait times
We reported earlier in the year about Uber and the RTA joining forces to make flying taxis a reality in Dubai.
But while they figure out the nuts and bolts of that venture (it’s not expected to happen until at least a five years from now) in the meantime they’re offering up another service that’s a little closer to the ground.
That’s right, it was announced earlier today that you’ll soon be able to book a swanky Dubai Taxi limo right from the Uber app.

Why is this such a big deal? Ultimately it comes down to helping cut wait times for customers, adding the fleet of Dubai Taxi’s luxury Lexus and Infiniti sedans to Uber’s already massive pool of drivers.
The deal was signed by Dr Yousuf Mohammad Al Ali, CEO of Dubai Taxi Corporation and Christopher Free, general manager of Uber in the UAE, who noted “Adding Dubai Taxi Limo to the Uber App would obviously add to the abundance of vehicles on offer which, in turn, will cut back customers’ waiting time. Achieving this goal is in line with out objective to provide reliable, safe and suitable transport for all everywhere.”

There is currently no firm date on when the service is due to roll out, or if there will be any change in pricing to the current RTA Limo rates, but we will keep you posted as soon as we hear anything.
