This cool D3 cafe is giving away free croissants this weekend

You get a croissant, and you get a croissant…

One Life Kitchen and Cafe is celebrating Croissant Day in the best possible way – with free croissants all weekend. On Friday January 29 and Saturday 30, this cool cafe in the Dubai Design District will be giving away its fabulous croissants on the house.

All you need to do is purchase a coffee and then take your pick of a sweet or savoury croissant. The What’s On team recently sampled One Life Kitchen and Cafe’s filled croissants and we can assure you they are the real deal.

Each night from 7pm, two of One Life’s pastry chefs set to work on making the following day’s croissants, kneading, folding and rolling so they’re perfectly flaky and fresh from the oven when the cafe opens at 8am.

For purists, these beautifully buttery croissants are delicious straight-up, but One Life also likes to pimp up their pastries with all manner of sweet and savoury fillings. Like a savoury start to the day? Zero in on the herby mushroom, cheese and leek number. More of a sweet tooth? Make it Nutella, banana and strawberries.

On Croissant Day, One Life Kitchen and Cafe will be launching a new range of filled croissants brimming with everything from smoked salmon, cream cheese and dill, to bacon and eggs, or haloumi and tomato. The chefs even bust out the blow torch for optimum cheese-melting action, without wilting all the lovely fresh salad stuff inside. Genius move.

So, pencil in a trip to this design-savvy cafe this weekend, order your favourite coffee, then go ahead and select your favourite croissant for free. How sweet is that?
